It was a night of celebration in the Chicago Sky locker room, but Angel Reese did not know what was coming. Coach Teresa Weatherspoon overlooked Angel and honored her teammates for their hard work during their 85-77 win against the Atlanta Dream. When the drama unfolded, Reese left in tears.
Coach brings Angel Reese to tears
The Chicago Sky was a hot ticket in Atlanta, with everyone from little Black girls looking up to Reese to stars of the music world all packing into a sold out Gateway Center Arena to see Reese & Co take the court. “This is a huge accomplishment for everybody,” she continued. “I don’t want it to take away from any of that and just be the focal point of All-Star weekend because that’s not fair to them.”
