Caitlin Clark’s Nike Deal Is Reportedly Worth up to $28 Million USD

After rumors of closing a landmark eight-figure endorsement deal.

Following initial reports of Caitlin Clark reportedly receiving a signature Nike shoe, new information has come to light surrounding the supposed eight-figure endorsement deal.

According to The Wall Street Journal, reporter Rachel Bachman shares new details surrounding the contract. Bachman states that the No. 1 WNBA pick is slated to sign an eight-year deal with Nike, worth up to $28 million USD.

Having her own signature shoe was part of the incentive to sign with the Swoosh. She has previously signed with Nike to an NIL deal but due to the end of her college basketball season, her deal has also ended.

Nike had quite the competition going into signing Clark for a long-term deal. Competitors like adidas put their bid in for the star basketball player, offering $6 million USD over the course of four years and a chance for Clark to design a signature prototype shoe model.

Under Armour countered with a $16 million USD offer for a four-year contract that also included a signature shoe. Puma also put their hat in the negotiations ring, but backed out when Clark’s team expected at least $3 million USD a year.

While Nikes deal gives Clark $3.5 million USD per year, the length of the contract (eight years) was a large driving factor for her to choose the Swoosh over UA. After adding a signature shoe to the deal, Clark has been expected to sign the deal.
