Angel Reese’s Big Change in Physical Appearance Turns Heads
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is quite active on social media.
The 22-year-old forward has made headlines on a few occasions for her social-media activity during the WNBA offseason, but what she published on Saturday may have her most buzzworthy social media post in quite some time.
Reese has gotten strong reactions from her followers multiple times over the last few months for several different issues including revealing her WNBA salary not even covering her rent, threatening to go on strike if the WNBA doesn’t raise player salaries before the next collective bargaining agreement, and for throwing shade at those complaining about the quality of guest she’s been bringing on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast lately.
But on Saturday night, Reese posted a series of photos on her X and Instagram accounts showing off her drastic new look.

Throughout her rookie season with the Sky and Rose BC in the Unrivaled league, Reese grew her hair out. Just nine days ago she posted photos showing her hair had even reached waist-level, but in the photos she posted on Saturday, Reese showed off a fresh new cut with her hair, which went from dark black to light brown, being trimmed down to just above her shoulders.
Reese’s big change in physical appearance turned quite a few heads on social media.
“🗣️💯! Bayou Barbie cutting up !✌🏾” one fan wrote.
“Okay I love the cut and the color sis. Springing into something new 💇🏽♀️” another fan stated.
“Lookin like Mama Reese😍 #BobonFleek,” remarked one user.
“NGL I’m rocking wit it,” another chimed in.
“Haircut eatssssss 😍” one fan raved.
“That’s Fire Angel🔥🔥🔥🔥!!” another fan replied.
Though Reese missed the final six games of her WNBA rookie season with a wrist injury (she also missed the Unrivaled league championship after reaggravating that same injury), she was in the Rookie of the Year running for much of the season.
She averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game in 34 appearances with the Sky, and she was named Defensive Player of the Year and was a second-team All-Unrivaled selection after leading the league in rebounds and logging the first 20/20 game in Unrivaled history.
