Angry Andy Reid Calls Out ‘Crap’ After Shutting Down Tom Brady’s Unique Record as Chiefs Falter vs Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs were handed their first loss of the season in the Week 11 game by the Buffalo Bills. And with this game, it was clear that Patrick Mahomes really needs to find someone open downfield, as he was also intercepted twice. So, in short, the offensive line struggled, eventually handing Andy Reid’s army a big loss.
Now, as the Chiefs are no longer undefeated, the head coach doesn’t seem to be interested in talking about it. However, the frustration is clearly seen in Andy Reid’s comments. While speaking to the media in a post-game presser, the 66-year-old said about, via conference managing editor, Charles Goldman, “the undefeated talk going away potentially being a relief for his team – I don’t really care about all that crap.”
Well, with this he clearly meant that the idea of being undefeated can bring extra pressure or distraction to the team. Their ultimate goal is the Super Bowl. Hence, Andy Reid further continued, “I just go forward and I try to exhaust what team we’re playing, and I present that to the players and expect them to do the same. I don’t really hear a lot of that talk from them. Or really think they care too much about that. . . You get to a point where you say, ‘Listen, I’ve done everything I possibly can. Here’s the product.’ And you go play.”
For Andy Reid, it’s about doing the work and presenting the best game plan. And then trust the team to execute it without getting caught up in external character. That’s why, he shut down any record like – Tom Brady’s winning-streak record of 21 regular-season games with the Patriots. As for him, the 3-peat matters.
But this loss has surely got Andy Reid and his team a wound that they will remember until the next face-off.
Andy Reid has a strong & strict message for his team!
The Chiefs dropped to 9-1 after the loss to the Bills. However, they still hold the No. 1 seed in their AFC West division. But that doesn’t mean they are relaxing. This is evident in Patrick Mahomes’s statements after the game on Sunday – “I’m not going to say we were relaxed. But at the same time, I feel like we were just coming away with these wins at the end of games. And I think it’s going to spark us to have more urgency, especially with the offense.” He further added that despite the undefeated thing being cool, they need to focus on their ultimate goal. Hence, there is hope for them that they can play better football in the upcoming days. But for that, they have to listen to what Andy Reid has to say, as he sends off a strict and powerful message to his roster.

Coach Reid said, “You got to dig in, man. These should hurt. You spend a lot of time in preparation for these games. You’ve got to reach inside, as coaches and players. You can’t just say, ‘Everything is going to be OK.’ That’s not how this works. You have to dig in and check the ego at the door and do some self-evaluation there.”
And the biggest evaluation to do in the team might be on their offensive line. They still rank at 10, allowing over 346.7 average yards and 24 touchdowns, per FOX Sports.
