Brandon Gill Pushes Back as Democratic Party Clash With Him Over Sharia Law Debate

Brandon Gill Confronts Democrats in Heated Exchange on Sharia Law and U.S. Policy

Constitution or Sharia? Brandon Gill Exposes the Radical Plan to Dismantle American Law and the Global Movement for Domination

GOP Rep. Brandon Gill has a knack for getting noticed

In the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol, where the Constitution is meant to be the supreme law of the land, a recent subcommittee hearing has sent shockwaves through the political establishment. Representative Brandon Gill, a Republican from Texas, took center stage to deliver what many are calling the most significant warning about the rise of political Islam in American history. Armed with newly released data from the 2024 Heritage Foundation survey, Gill didn’t just ask questions—he provided a sobering look at a cultural and legal shift that threatens to dismantle the foundational principles of the American experiment.

The Numbers That Washington Ignores

The hearing began with a sharp confrontation between Representative Gill and Professor Sman, a legal expert testifying on religious freedom. When Gill asked about the percentage of U.S. Muslims who believe Sharia law should be implemented in the United States, Sman claimed ignorance of the data. Gill was ready with the answer: 39 percent. According to the 2024 survey, nearly four in ten Muslims in the United States want Sharia law to become the governing legal framework within the next 20 years.

The statistics grew increasingly alarming as the hearing progressed. Gill revealed that 46 percent of American Muslims support the formation of a specifically Muslim political party, and a staggering 50 percent believe it should be illegal to show a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad. Furthermore, 33 percent believe Islam should be declared the national religion of the United States.

“You can declare that statistics you don’t like aren’t true,” Gill told the visibly uncomfortable professor, “but that’s not how I’m going to operate here. These facts concern me, and I think they concern most Americans.”

The Incompatibility of Ideologies

To understand why these numbers are more than just a matter of religious preference, the subcommittee heard from Robert Spencer, a leading expert on Islamic ideology. Spencer was blunt in his assessment: political Islam is fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.

“It denies the freedom of speech, denies the equality of rights of non-Muslims with Muslims, and denies the equality of rights of women with men,” Spencer testified. He pointed out that Muhammad’s own teachings emphasize that Islam “must dominate and not be dominated.” In every Sharia state in history, non-believers have been relegated to a subservient position, often suffering social and legal “pain” as a penalty for rejecting Islamic tenets.

Spencer’s testimony highlighted the 14th Amendment’s promise of equal protection—a concept that simply does not exist under a Sharia-based legal system. Under Sharia, there is a religious hierarchy that places a religious code above the civil laws of a nation, creating a dual legal system that inevitably leads to the erosion of individual liberty.

The “Epic City” and Foreign Influence

The hearing then shifted focus to the domestic infrastructure being built to support this ideological shift. Ms. Child testified about “Epic City,” a massive development project in North Texas led by Imam Yasir Qadhi, the chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America. Qadhi’s group is responsible for telling Muslims in the U.S. how to apply Sharia in their daily lives.

Ms. Child revealed that the funding for these projects is under intense legal scrutiny. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has recently sued the East Plano Islamic Center and its development arm, alleging violations of security laws and concerns over foreign investment. The “Epic City” model, marketed as a self-contained community, is seen by critics as a way to create “no-go zones” or parallel societies where Sharia is the de facto law, independent of American civil authority.

The Global Context: Europe as a Warning

Perhaps the most chilling moment of the hearing came from a video clip of Imam Yasir Qadhi himself. In the recording, Qadhi brags about the “victory for the Ummah” (the global Muslim community) as European cities see their Muslim populations rise to 10 or 20 percent. He explicitly points to Sweden, Norway, Austria, and England as examples of successful civilizational expansion.

“They can be as mad as they want,” Qadhi is heard saying. “I don’t care. America will be a Muslim country… Islam will enter every house.”

For Brandon Gill, these words aren’t just religious rhetoric; they are a declaration of imperialistic intent. He pointed to Europe as a warning of what happens when a society is too afraid of being labeled “intolerant” to stand up for its own laws. In cities like London and Vienna, the cultural and legal landscape has shifted so dramatically that the traditional governing frameworks are under constant siege.

Not All Cultures Are Created Equal

In his closing remarks, Representative Gill drew a line in the sand that few in Washington have the courage to approach. “There’s a fundamental truth that I think we’ve got to recognize,” he said, “which is that not all cultures are created equal, and they are not all equally compatible with America’s governing framework.”

Gill argued that a culture valuing individual liberty, freedom of speech, and the separation of mosque and state is objectively superior to one that demands subservience and punishes dissent. He warned that allowing even a “soft” version of Sharia to take root in American courts or communities is essentially signing the death warrant for American freedom.

The hearing left a clear message: the American experiment is not a guarantee; it is a choice. We can choose to uphold the Constitution as the supreme law of the land, or we can allow an imperialistic political ideology to slowly replace it. Brandon Gill has brought the receipts, the data, and the warnings to the forefront of the national conversation. Now, the question remains: will America listen before the “unapologetic and uncompromising” stance of radicals becomes the new law of the land?

As Representative Gill noted, if someone wants Sharia law, there are many countries where it is already practiced. But for those who value the First Amendment and the equality of all citizens before the law, America must remains American.
