Cameron Brink’s Stunning SI Swimsuit Debut Has WNBA & Curry Clan Buzzing

She’s not boxed in by injuries or expectations! You know how they say when life gives you lemons, make a lemonade? Well, we might as well add a beach photoshoot, fashion shows, a podcast launch because that’s exactly what Cameron Brink did. The Los Angeles Sparks star didn’t let her season-ending injury write the narrative. When the basketball gods hit pause on her debut season, she didn’t sit around sulking. Instead, she leaned into her life-long passions, and gave herself the space to breathe, heal, and thrive. Well, that has resulted in her never being out of the spotlight and here she is again.

We know that, since forever, the 2024 no. 2 pick had that effortlessly cool “model off-duty” vibe, even when she was swatting shots and crashing boards at Stanford. Fashion’s always been one of her big loves. She’s not new to this. Just last fall, she hit up Paris for both Men’s and Women’s Fashion Week while she was still grinding through rehab for that knee injury.

Now, people might assume she’s just locked in on basketball now that her comeback is inching closer. But she’s never been a one-lane person. Brink is the definition of a multitasker. Always has been. Always will be. The camera’s are on her again but not just for buckets. This time, it’s for bikinis.

The WNBA star just made her stunning debut in Sports Illustrated’s 2025 Swimsuit Issue. Shot in sunny Boca Raton, Florida, by photographer Ben Horton, it’s a serve. Brink’s been dreaming about this collab for a minute. Earlier this year on “Podcast P With Paul George,” she straight-up said this was one of her dream gigs. Full circle moment?  “I’ve always loved SI Swimsuit,” she said while shooting. “I think it’s super empowering.” You could feel that power through every shot.

Amid all the glam, Brink also kept it real. She admitted it’s not always easy putting her body out there for the world to see. “I think every female athlete has had a really rough go with body image,” she said. But the good news is she’s in a good place now, and it shows. “I’m definitely glad I’ve gotten to a really good place and I’m able to do stuff like this… it’s just very empowering,” she added.  She didn’t forget to show love where it’s due.

Cameron gave a big shoutout to the legends who paved the way – Elena Delle Donne, Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Lisa Leslie, Breanna Stewart… the whole list of queens. Because she feels without those trailblazers, none of this – on or off the court – would be possible. It’s moments like these that remind us just how much these young ballers are redefining what it means to be a pro athlete today.

The best part has to be…the voices around them never hold back when it comes to showering love. Wait till you see the reactions. The internet couldn’t handle it. The basketball world, her fam, her fans, everyone lost it.

Cameron Brink’s big moment gets all the love

First up, the Curry clan came through.Her best friend Sydel Curry-Lee was shaken as she commented, “I’m deceased.” Steph Curry’s sister has always been her loudest cheerleader. They share a lifelong connection rooted in family and friendship. Their mothers, Michelle Bain-Brink and Sonya Curry, were roommates and teammates at Virginia Tech, which led them to become godparents to each other’s children. The duo even just launched their podcast “Straight to Cam.” together.

Then her mom, Michelle Bain-Brink, who is the link between Cameron and the Curry family had the most mom-but-make-it-iconic reaction, “What world are we living in? 🤩🫠🥰🥰🥰” Tell us you’re proud without telling us you’re proud. Michelle means everything to Cam.  It was evident in her multiple mother’s day stories. It’s evident in how she never forgets to mention her name during every victory moment. But as much as she loves her own mother, Sonya has been that motherly figure in her life, too. She even puts up a Mother’s Day post for her, too.

Even during her shoot, she talked about the Curry family while talking about her own journey. She shared how her first basketball memory is of cheering on her godbrothers Seth and Stephen Curry. The Curry fam has always been a beautiful chapter of her journey.  Then came her WNBA fellows. Napheesa Collier wrote, “Stunning 😍.”

These two formed a strong connection during Unrivaled, being a part of the same club. Despite not playing in the inaugural season, Brink was an enthusiastic supporter of the Lunar Owls. We can’t wait to see her and Phee share the court next year. While we still have to wait a whole year to see Brink shine in the Unrivaled league, we’re just months away from something just as exciting, her suiting up alongside Kelsey Plum in LA. Her new teammate had no words but a ton of emojis, “😩😍😭🔥🔥🔥😜🙈😎😉❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.”

This off-court bond makes the on-court pairing more exciting. Brink is expected to make her return to the court sometime in 2025, likely around the All-Star break. But whether it’s then or later, the anticipation of seeing her and Plum team up has already sent the LA fanbase into overdrive. Along with the new bonds, the college bonds run deep as Kiki Irifen penned, “Mami🔥😍😍”

You know, once Cam said, “I tell Kiki every day, ‘I’m thankful that you’re on my team because I wouldn’t want to guard you for real in a game.” Well, the Brink vs Iriafen never really got its chance during college because by the time Iriafen transferred to USC in 2024, Brink was already WNBA-bound. But now that they’re both in the league, we’ve got our eyes locked on that future Mystics vs Sparks showdown once Cam returns.

The Indiana Fever twins were just as stunned as the rest of us. Lexie Hull dropped a “Perfection 🤯🤯🤯” and Sophie Cunningham threw in a casual “🔥🔥.” You know what’s beautiful about the W? No matter how intense things get on the court, there’s this constant flow of love and support when it comes to celebrating off-court wins.

They truly get it…how special these moments are, how hard-earned they can be, and how much it means when one of them gets to shine in a whole new way. Even when rookie Hailey Van Lith made her own debut in the SI Swimsuit, looking absolutely stunning, her fellow hoopers showed up in the comments with all the love.

Indeed, in WNBA, it’s a sisterhood in every sense of the word!
