KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The countdown is on for Kansas City foodies and Chiefs fans eager to score a table at 1587 Prime , the highly anticipated new steakhouse from NFL superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Located inside the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, 1587 Prime is set to open its doors to the public on September 17 .

In less than 24 hours, fans will have their first chance to secure a reservation at 1587 Prime. The restaurant will begin accepting reservations on Wednesday, August 20, at 12 p.m. CST . Given the excitement surrounding the opening, many fans are planning ahead to ensure they don’t miss out.

Chiefs fan Nick Strohm shared his enthusiasm:
“I’ve already got it on my calendar tomorrow, my work calendar, don’t bother me from noon to 12:15 because I’m going to be looking up the earliest reservation. If I can get in there within the first month, I’ll be pretty excited.”

Others see 1587 Prime as the perfect spot for a special occasion, with fan Corey Bradford suggesting it could be an “anniversary type of spot,” while Jada Christensen added, “That would be fun if we could see a sighting there, or even a Taylor Swift sighting.”

Reservation Details

According to Matt Smith, Chief Marketing Officer of Noble 33, the hospitality group behind 1587 Prime, reservations are not required but highly encouraged . Smith explained that the team is still finalizing how far in advance guests can book, but they aim to accommodate as many requests as possible.

“Hopefully, everyone’s able to get their preferred time, but in the event filled up quickly or the desired time slot is not available, there’s an opportunity to make requests,” Smith said. “We will try to fulfill those as best we can depending on any cancellations, openings, things like that.”

A reservation button will go live on the restaurant’s website starting at noon on Wednesday, making it easy for guests to secure their table.

Inside 1587 Prime

FOX4 got a sneak peek inside the restaurant in June. Spanning two floors and seating 238 guests , 1587 Prime features an open kitchen, a private dining room, and a semi-private space that can accommodate up to 40 people. The design and atmosphere reflect both Kansas City’s culture and the careers of Mahomes and Kelce.

“It’ll be kind of cool to see them on the field and now they’re in the business world with the restaurant,” Smith said. “So, I’m looking forward to trying it and hopefully the food ends up pretty good.”

While the full menu hasn’t been released yet, Smith revealed that guests can expect a heavy focus on locally sourced beef , with the exception of authentic A5 Japanese Wagyu, which will be imported directly from Japan. Diners can also look forward to “a lot of other surprises” that promise to be both fun and unexpected for a steakhouse.

1587 Prime plans to be open Wednesday through Sunday , with nightly live music featuring local artists to enhance the dining experience.
