Jason Kelce, renowned for his dynamic personality both on and off the field, recently took the spotlight in an unexpected way by engaging with the audience before beginning his ESPN football commentary. This charismatic moment only amplified his already immense popularity, as Kelce’s ability to connect with fans, whether in the heat of a game or in a more casual setting, continues to elevate his status as one of the most beloved figures in Philadelphia sports. As a key player for the Eagles and a familiar voice in football media, Kelce effortlessly blends his on-field prowess with an approachable, larger-than-life persona that resonates with fans. It’s no surprise that his supporters, particularly in his hometown of Philadelphia, are expected to turn up the volume even more next week, cheering him on with the same fervor they show for his iconic performances in the NFL.

Why Jason Kelce’s ‘Monday Night Football’ Debut Has Fans Howling

Much to fans’ surprise, Jason Kelce gets his clothes at the mall just like the rest of us.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center is getting roasted by fans after revealing to viewers he had to buy a shirt from the mall because he forgot his bag in his car during his Monday, September 9, debut as an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown — the network’s pregame show.

ESPN posted the hilarious clip from the episode on Instagram for their 27 million followers and included an image with a red arrow pointing toward the gap in the 36-year-old’s shirt with the text “Jason forgot his travel bag in the car” over the image.

The network captioned the post, “Welcome to Monday Night Countdown, Jason.” Of course, fans and Jason’s brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, took to the comment section to joke about the situation.

Many fans wondered what Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, 32, thought about his wardrobe issue.

“We need to hear @kykelce thoughts on this ASAP. 😅,” one user commented.

“Kylie is shaking her head rn,” somebody joked.

This clothing mishap reminded some fans of an episode from The New Heights podcast where Jason jokingly blamed his wife, Kylie Kelce, for not bringing him jeans in time for his green carpet. Travis asked his brother in the episode, “Why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?

“Why doesn’t Jason bring shirts…for Jason?,” somebody commented on the Instagram post.

“HOW DID JASON NOT BRING SHIRT FOR JASON,” another user wrote.

Travis, 34, poked fun at his older sibling, commenting on the post, “Surprised he even bought a new one and didn’t just go shirtless.” The Ohio native was most likely referring to back in January when Jason ripped off his shirt after Travis scored a touchdown during a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

Jason sat alongside host and famous sports broadcaster Scott Van Pelt, and former NFL stars Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark for the episode. After listing a few of Jason’s accolades, Pelt told viewers about the wardrobe fiasco.

“Jason Kelce is wearing a shirt he got at the mall because he left his travel bag in the truck,” Van Pelt told viewers. “Left the bag in the truck.”
