That’s become more than clear in recent years, as the game has shifted from running game-heavy to a pass-first bonanza.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have benefited greatly from that shift. Before them, it was Tom Brady and the New England Patriots taking advantage of it. Naturally, Mahomes and Brady have been a topic of comparison due to being the best quarterbacks in their respective eras. But there’s a big difference when it comes to both, and fans have come out to make it known that we truly are living in a different time in football history.
