Patrick Mahomes gives Texas Tech softball team gifts before WCWS championship series
Patrick Mahomes showed his love and support for Texas Tech softball ahead of Game 1 of the 2025 Women’s College World Series championship series.
Red Raiders coach Gerry Glasco presented his team with letterman jackets from what he called the “team’s No. 1 fan,” ahead of Wednesday’s game against No. 6 Texas at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
“You got a gift from your No. 1 fan, Patrick Mahomes,” Glasco said in a video clip shared on X (formerly Twitter). “(His) goal is to try and get here in person before this series is over. But he said to go ahead and give you this tonight, because he wants to be sure you get it.”
Mahomes played for the Red Raiders football program from 2014 to 2016 before becoming the No. 10 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has led the Kansas City Chiefs to three Super Bowl championships in five appearances.
Texas Tech is seeking its first national championship in softball. Mahomes has shown his support for the softball program throughout the team’s run to the championship series.
