Patrick Mahomes had a hilarious comparison when talking about crafting a play with Travis Kelce during Monday’s NFL game.
During a postgame press conference on Monday, Oct. 7, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback spoke about a lateral play Kelce completed during the Chiefs vs. New Orleans Saints game that ultimately led to the Chiefs’ victory.
“I’m shaking my head because I told him before the play, I said, ‘I’m going to throw it to you so we can get into field goal range,’ ” Mahomes recalled. “He underhand shoveled it across the field. It’s like I’m talking to Sterling.”
But he later laughed as he praised the Chiefs tight end, saying, “That’s Travis, man. He’s a special player. As long as he does it and it works, man, no one’s going to say anything.”

Mahomes shares his daughter and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 22 months, with wife Brittany Mahomes, 29, who is currently expecting the couple’s third baby together.
In the middle of the game, Patrick had a sweet message for his daughter Sterling, who presumably was watching her dad play while she was at home.
Earlier this month, the pregnant mom of two posted several sweet shots of her kids on her Instagram Stories. In one snap, Bronze smiled as he sat on a set of stairs in what appeared to be a playground area of a park. For his outdoor adventure, the little boy wore a cute T-shirt featuring Mickey Mouse, brown shorts, black and white striped socks and black Adidas sneakers.
“Big park guy. Big Mickey guy,” Brittany wrote over the photo.
Brittany also posted a fun video of Sterling getting creative in the kitchen. In the clip, the toddler wore a navy blue top and pink pants as she held a bag of light peach frosting up above a table of Halloween-themed cookies.
The spooky treats featured pumpkin faces on them, and several were covered with sprinkles. “This girl loves baking,” Brittany wrote over the post, adding a heart-eye emoji.
