Patrick Mahomes’ Teammate Flexed $60,000 Achievement at Graduation Ceremony as Chiefs Rookie Compared to 2x SB Winner

“I feel amazing, Mind, body, and soul,” Patrick Mahomes‘s teammate stated in Feb 2024 after earning his Super Bowl ring. Since the Chiefs drafted him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft, he stunned many with his remarkable feats. Earning 2 Super Bowl rings in his first two seasons showcased his determination. Reliving those victorious moments on his graduation day is his biggest achievement. And now, Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco turned many heads on his graduation day with his unique and own style.
On May 6, the 2 two-time Super Bowl winning RB received his degree from his alma mater, Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Amazingly, the official X account of Rutgers Football shared glimpses of his college graduation ceremony, highlighting his accomplishments. “From Super Bowl champ to college grad — Isiah Pacheco came back to finish what he started!” they mentioned in their post caption. At his College Graduation Ceremony, he showed off his 2 Super Bowl rings worth of $60,000, wearing them on his left hand.
Apart from his SB rings, he earned attention for his adorable look on his graduation day. He was seen donning a graduation gown and a traditional cap. And, it was really a stimulating moment for the NFL RB.
During his Rutgers days from 2018 to 2021, he established his name as the most dominant RB in the college program. During that time, he impressively recorded 442 yards and 18 touchdowns. And then, he started his NFL journey with the Chiefs and earned the Super Bowl championship trophy in 2022 and 2023.
However, the 2024 season wasn’t favorable to him. Due to his leg injury, he missed most of the games in the 2024 season. However, he made his return in the postseason games. And, he played against the Eagles during the Super Bowl LIX game. Unfortunately, he had to watch his team, the Chiefs, lose to the Eagles 40–22 in the SB. But, seemingly, it did not lower his spirit.
With his most recent gesture of flashing off his rings, it seems that he is all set to clinch his next SB rings in the next season. Well, Pacheco’s 26 latest feat spread massively on the internet, after Chiefs’ newest RB Brashard Smith drew comparison to him.
Reasons behind comparisons between Isiah Pacheco with rookie Brashard Smith
At the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp on Sunday, rookie running back Brashard Smith drew notable comparisons to Isiah Pacheco. A product of the Miami Hurricanes, Smith attracted attention due to his draft position. Like Pacheco, he was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Pacheco, of course, was also a seventh-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft. Beyond their similar draft status, both players excel in the passing game. They also share a comparable running style marked by quickness, an attribute that fuels the comparisons.
Interestingly, despite the buzz, Smith, who also played wide receiver at Miami, didn’t compare himself to any NFL running back during the minicamp. Instead, on just his second day training with the Chiefs’ playbook, he focused on making an impression alongside Pacheco.

“I’m going to show who I am,” the rookie RB stated. “There are not a lot of running backs that have receiving skills and running back skills. So I feel like just coming in and I can contribute for sure with my skill set,” he further added.
It indeed showcased Smith’s confidence in his abilities. Not only Brashard, but Chiefs HC Andy Reid also noticed his rookie RB’s unique style. The NFL head coach also stated that he hasn’t observed Smith adequately to draw comparisons to other players. “It looks like he has that, now nobody has hit him, so it will be a little different story there. And it looks like he has good hands,” HC reiterated.
Clearly, with his, it is clear that Smith is moving forward for his first season with the starting RB Isiah Pacheco with confidence and resilience. Fans are eager to watch their on-field chemistry.
