Patrick Mahomes’ WR Shows True Colors With Lamar Jackson Message Amid Derrick Henry’s ‘Best Player’ Praise

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, sparked social media chatter with a heartfelt message for Lamar Jackson. Brown posted a picture of Jackson on a kick scooter with the caption, “Happy 💤 Day To My Brudda 💯 @new_era8,” on Instagram. The story highlighted his dynamic relationship with the Ravens’ star quarterback.

Brown, who was drafted by the Ravens in 2019 and played alongside Jackson. But he left Baltimore in 2022 after requesting a trade. Despite their separation, Brown’s recent post reveals a strong bond between the two.

Meanwhile, Jackson’s dynamic performance this season has impressed teammate Derrick Henry. The RB praised his quarterback as the “best player in the league.” Henry, who joined the Ravens this year, emphasized the duo’s success, with their combined rushing yards setting an NFL record for QB-RB teammates.

The Ravens are gearing up for the playoffs, with Jackson aiming to lead them to a Super Bowl win, supported by Henry’s power running game and a solid roster.

Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson set to make history in AFC title game

It’s officially championship week in the NFL, and the much-anticipated AFC title game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens should live up to the hype as history will be made after the first snap.

According to NFL Research, the AFC Championship Game will be the first playoff matchup between former MVP quarterbacks both under the age of 30.

28-year-old QB Patrick Mahomes, a two-time NFL MVP (2018, 2022), will take on 27-year-old QB Lamar Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, for the first time in the playoffs.

The two quarterbacks have met four times during the regular season with Mahomes being the victor in three of the meetings. However, there’s no arguing this is the biggest matchup between the two so far.

The Chiefs enter the game as the No. 3 seed led by Mahomes, who’s having a bit of a down year passing for 4,183 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. But he always seems to be his best in the postseason, passing for 477 yards and three touchdowns in the past two weeks.

The Ravens, on the other hand, play the host in this matchup as the No. 1 seed. Jackson is a big reason why too as he’s the favorite to win his second NFL MVP award after throwing for a career-high 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns and adding 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground this season.

Although both teams are led by one of the best quarterbacks in the league, the difference in this game will likely be the defense.

Baltimore is allowing the fewest points per game (16.5) while Kansas City is allowing the second fewest (17.3).

Both Mahomes and Jackson will make plays, but it will be the defense that forces the opposing quarterback to make a mistake that will determine the outcome and head to Super Bowl LVIII.
