“Move on and talk BASKETBALL”- Fans slam Terrika Foster-Brasby’s claim on Stephanie White ending Fever faithful’s ‘negativity’

Connecticut Sun sideline reporter Terrika Foster-Brasby shared her thoughts on the Indiana Fever’s hiring of Stephanie White as their new coach. White and the Sun parted ways despite back-to-back semi-final appearances. She took over from Christie Sides, who was dismissed after leading the Fever to their first postseason berth since 2016.
The longtime analyst told Natalie Esquire that White’s impact could extend beyond the basketball court. She said the coach would not tolerate “negativity” from Fever fans.
“She’s … most certainly not going to stand for any of the negativity that had been associated with Fever fans. And we know it’s not all the fans, but there were certain ones who use the Fever name to kind of spew things that just do not stand for what the WNBA stands for,” Foster-Brasby said.
Basketball fans promptly reacted to her comments:
“Natalie and Terrika went on a 4-minute rant just to say that Stephanie White won’t tolerate the ‘nasty Fever fans’ and will ‘change the culture’ in Indiana. Lmaoo what can she do about the online trolls? Y’all need to move on and talk BASKETBALL. That is why we are all here,” one said.
Another commented:
“Remember they get paid by the W to be analysts.”
One added:
“They know nothing about WBB.”
“The same White that said they are trolls and should be treated as such. Dumb and dumber.”
Another fan said in the same thread:
“Agreed. Sit by the away sideline for an NFL pregame LOL! Eagles, Jets, Raiders…it gets diabolical”
Caitlin Clark made the Indiana Fever the most popular WNBA team last season. The team set attendance and viewership records almost every time she played. Clark also brought with her a large following, many of whom were accused of spewing racial insults and discriminatory remarks online.
Terrika Foster-Brasby is convinced Stephanie White will “shift the culture” among Fever fans.
“So I think when I say a culture shift, that is what I mean, that she just will be the kind of leader that really exemplifies the standard that she expects to seize from her players. And you will see that as the season continues with her at the helm,” she said.Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull and Caitlin Clark attend Stephanie White’s introductory presser
The Indiana Fever introduced Stephanie White on Monday as the team’s new coach. Joining her on the podium were Kelly Krauskopf, the Fever president of basketball operations, and Amber Cox, the new general manager.
Sitting in the front row for the highly anticipated event were Fever stars Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull and Caitlin Clark. After the hour-long press conference, White posed for photos with them.
White served as an assistant for the Fever’s coaching staff from 2011 to 2014 before becoming the head tactician in 2015. She helped the team win the 2012 WNBA championship.
