Travis Kelce Reveals Why He Fell for Taylor Swift

Night Three Of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - London, UK

It’s quite possible that no two people have ever been more publicly in love than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Over the weekend they made that clear during the Eras Tour shows in London, with Kelce being the mayor of the VIP tent and making his onstage debut. But in case you needed more proof, Kelce just appeared on a podcast where he sang his girlfriend’s praises for five minutes straight.

“It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she keeps it so chill and so cool, and I can admire it for sure,” Kelce said on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast (they’re literally on a bus). In what some people have read as a diss to Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn, the NFL star explained that he’s not exactly trying to have a super low-key relationship.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce explained. “That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, I’m proud of that … You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

The soon-to-be actor continued to laud Swift, saying that he “really started to fall for her” when he saw how “genuine” she is around her friends and family. He recounted that when she went to her first Chiefs game, he offered to get her set up with the VIP treatment and she instead opted to walk “right through the front door.” Now, I don’t know what front door he’s talking about, but I don’t think Swift was standing in line at the metal detectors with the common folk of St. Louis. It’s a nice story, though, and I’m sure she did walk right through the same front door that, say, Kelce uses.

Sadly for us, this podcast was recorded about a week before Kelce appeared on the Eras Tour stage, so there are no details about that. Kelce is smart enough to know that when he goes into detail about performing for 90,000 people and missing his cue, it’ll be on his own podcast.
