Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating for over a year now. Despite the rumours of their breakup, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end emphasised that his relationship with the global pop sensation has been going strong. In the latest episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, the 35-year-old NFL star revealed that he has been “absolutely happy” with his girlfriend, Tay.

On Wednesday, October 30’s episode, the brother duo and Travis’ Grotesquerie co-star Niecy Nash discussed the couple’s high-profile romance. The 54-year-old actress told the listeners that people would text her about Travis, soon after they started working together on the latter’s on-screen debut project. She said, “They started off saying, ‘We’re watching (the show). Is he the killer? Just to get (me) on the line texting them.”

Nash shared that after asking such frivolous questions, they would ask about Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift after their breakup rumours surfaced in the media. However, she never responded to those queries, saying, “I’m like, ‘Get out of that man’s business!’” The actress’ revelations left the NFL star in splits. Nash further called herself a “vault” and emphasised the fact that “nosy” people “aren’t getting nothing out of” her.

Travis appreciated his co-star’s efforts and said, “Every time someone has a mic in front of you and asks you something like that, thank you for always showing love.” The 35-year-old athlete then briefly talked about his relationship with his girlfriend, saying, “You know it’s real. And you know that me and Tay are absolutely happy, and I appreciate you always making sure everybody knows that.”

Travis’ comment comes two months after a fake plan detailing his breakup with his pop star girlfriend went viral on social media. The NFL star’s publicity team denied their role in making the “false and fabricated documents” detailing their breakup plan. Since the documents went viral, Travis and Taylor were spotted packing on PDAs on various occasions.

Just days ago, a Page Six report stated that Travis and Taylor’s engagement might be next on the cards. The celebrity couple’s friends think that they have gotten very close after spending an entire year together. A source revealed to the media outlet that the Love Story singer feels safer with her 35-year-old boyfriend than anyone she has ever known. “She knows he would do anything for her and physically she feels protected by him, and she loves that feeling. It’s a relatively new one for her, relationship-wise,” added the source.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will come to a conclusion on December 8.
