Fans Catch Chiefs’ Subtle Taylor Swift Message in Travis Kelce Post
It does not seem like Taylor Swift has traveled to Atlanta to support the Kansas City Chiefs in their first road game of the season. One man who is in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium ahead of the Atlanta Falcons game is, of course, Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.
As always, Kelce was dressed to impress as he came into the stadium ahead of the defending champ’s Week 3 showdown. So much so that the Chiefs just had to send a special shoutout to their star tight end and his ensemble for Sunday’s festivities. As it turns out, the team’s post on X, formerly Twitter, had a subtle message aimed at Taylor Swift.
“Happiness. Fun. Magic.” the Chiefs captioned their post.
Apparently, the team’s three-word caption is a reference to Swift’s acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12. As Taylor accepted the award for Video of the Year for her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, the 34-year-old dedicated the win to his boyfriend.
“Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic,” she said of Kelce.
The Chiefs’ Travis Kelce post was clearly a hat tip to this iconic moment, and fans of the couple were quick to catch on.
Supporters could not help but swoon over Taylor and Travis (and the Chiefs’ social media team) yet again after making the connection.
“Whoever the admin is I LOVE YOU,” said a fan.
“That caption is perfect,” reacted another.
“All Tayblessings delivered for the admin, you really ate with the caption 🫶” a comment read.
“Whoever runs this account…WE LOVE YOU.” said another.
“Swifties gonna love this one,” a fan stated.
“you ate with the caption,” stated another.
Kelce, however, will need to perform in this one without his beloved Taylor in attendance. It has been a slow start this season for the four-time All-Pro TE, but it could all quickly change with a strong outing against the 1-1 Falcons.
