How the heck did the Kansas City Chiefs win against the Denver Broncos? That’s beyond a lot of people. On top of that, a video of Patrick Mahomes leaked where he was asking the referees to apprise him of any defenders that were coming for him. That led many people to believe the NFL is scripted. We hope that’s just a joke. But Andy Reid knows the Chiefs’ shortcomings and addressed them in a conversation with KMBC9.

The 3x Super Bowl-winning QB came out with only one touchdown, which wasn’t all that special. In fact, that praise for winning the game should go to the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense. And also Harrison Butker, who was responsible for 9 of the 16 points that the Chiefs put on the board. That game made Andy Reid think that his team has a lot to “clean up.”

“The win was fantastic to get. We just have places we need to work on and make sure we get covered. The positive was that they didn’t score in the second half, and for the most part, we hunkered down defensively. Offensively, we’ve got to clean up a few things; we didn’t score as often in the red zone as we wanted to—penalties, a missed shot there,” Andy Reid said.

The only good thing about the game was Patrick Mahomes not throwing any picks while delivering a 266-yard, one-touchdown performance. That’s the only silver lining to the game that Andy Reid is proud of. “We’re normally accurate with the throws and so on, so we need to clean a bit of that up. Again, we played a good football team. Both of their fronts are strong, and we were tested in a couple of spots, which will help us grow,” Reid further added in the interview on KMBC9.

Astonishingly, both teams were scoreless in the first quarter, and one of the touchdowns the Denver Broncos scored came on a 6-yard pass to Devaughn Vele. The other touchdown was something to witness. Bo Nix threw a 32-yard pass to Courtland Sutton with just 6:39 left on the clock.

The Broncos were scoreless in the second half and the Kansas City Chiefs defense didn’t let Bo Nix advance. Finally, the Denver Broncos had a chance to win the game with a field goal. But Leo Chenal, the Chiefs LB, stopped that from happening.

Will Lutz had the chance to put a stop to the Kansas City Chiefs 8-0 streak. But Leo Chenal crashed the Broncos’ party and stopped the 35-yard field goal from culminating. The crowd at GEHA field went wild as Patrick Mahomes started to run around, celebrating the 9-0-win streak.

The locker room scene was wholesome as Andy Reid gave Leo his flowers and called him “Superman.” When Andy Reid offers to treat you to a cheeseburger, you know he’s impressed. Had to be one heck of a cheeseburger if the Kansas City Chiefs head coach is treating you to it.

Now, the Chiefs will go against the Buffalo Bills and that’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The Kansas City Chiefs are probably the most underwhelming and the only team to have reached a perfect win streak. Maybe Josh Allen can put a stop to them.
