LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers star player, is gearing up for his 22nd professional season in the NBA.

With his 40th birthday approaching in December, the all-time points leader is frequently questioned about his retirement intentions.

James, who previously revealed that he wants to play alongside his son before hanging up his Jersey, recently disclosed his surprising after-retirement plans.

In a recent appearance on the DraftKings show “James joins GoJo & Golic,” he explained his intention to pursue a potential broadcasting career after retiring.

“You know, I don’t know. I definitely love the sport.

It would be great. I see Tom Brady doing it, and he’s been great so far.

And, you know, we will see, even if it’s just a guest appearance, you know, one game or two when I’m done playing.

But it’s always fun to give back to the game because the game has given me so much. So, if it’s basketball, if it’s football, if it’s whatever, I love the word ‘sport,’ because it’s given so much to me and my family.

And it’s only right that I give back to it.” James said.

James, who was recently trolled by NBA fans, has been frequently invited to various podcasts to share his views on basketball.

Additionally, he co-hosts the Mind The Game podcast with the new Lakers head coach JJ Redick.

James Reveals His Feelings Before Hitting the Court with Son Bronny

James, widely regarded as the greatest player of all time, is not showing any signs of slowing down despite being the oldest active player in the league currently.

In the offseason, he signed a contract extension with the Lakers.

Additionally, the Lakers drafted his son, Bronny, in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft. When asked during the DraftKings interview, James expressed that the next season with Bronny will be amazing.

“This week, we got back into the gym, and it was really the first time that me and Bronny were basically on the floor as professionals, preparing for the season.

There were a couple of times I was looking to the side and just watching him, and watching him prepare… It’s gonna be an unbelievable year for myself, and I hope for him as well.” James said.

James and Bronny will become the first father-son duo in NBA history.

The upcoming season is quickly approaching, and the first game of the 20-time NBA All-Star will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
