Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is a self-confessed Swiftie. In fact, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year watched Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” on back-to-back nights during the concert’s Indianapolis stop back in November.
While Clark did not get a chance to meet Swift during the shows, the “Fortnight” singer did send Clark an invitation to join her watch a Kansas City Chiefs game in the future. Being a big Chiefs fan herself, Clark would not let the offer pass her by.
The Fever guard took Swift up on her invite on Saturday as the Chiefs hosted the Houston Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for their Divisional Round clash. Clark was spotted inside the VIP suite with Swift’s party, which included both her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, and her brother Austin Swift. Also joining them were the parents of Travis Kelce, Donna and Ed Kelce.

Clark had a great experience in the VIP box as she watched the Chiefs take down the Texans, 23-14, to book their spot in the AFC Championship Game, where they will face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Jan. 26.
The 22-year-old basketball superstar was seen cheering and celebrating throughout the game alongside Swift. According to a body language expert, however, there was more to Clark’s behavior than meets the eye.
Judi James, an expert in the field who has published 26 books on communication and body language, spoke exclusively to The Mirror US to discuss how Clark acted around the pop megastar. According to James, the former Iowa Hawkeyes player may have been a bit starstruck by Swift.
“Caitlin looks less confident and more polite here, with less use of eye contact, suggesting she might feel a little shy in Taylor’s presence,” James said.
Swift, on the other hand, did all she could to make Clark feel more comfortable.
“Taylor is clearly using the kind of body language signals here that will send off bonds of (new) friendship,” James stated. “She appears to be adopting a hosting approach to Caitlin and instigating most of the conversation, and she does so in a way that will make Caitlin look and feel like a friend.”
James went on to say that Swift used “eye contact and face-checking signals” on Clark.
This comes as no surprise considering how this is the first time Clark and Swift have been seen together in public.
While Clark might be one of the biggest names in the world of sports, even she could not help but get a little bit awestruck by the presence of Taylor Swift.
