Although a five-game win streak for the Indiana Fever was snapped by the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, Caitlin Clark still wrapped up another impressive performance.
Clark finished with 25 points in 36 minutes as the Fever fell by the final score of 99-88. She also added eight rebounds and eight assists while shooting 8-21 from the field.
The 22-year-old kept up her recent hot shooting after connecting on 41.2 percent of her three-point attempts over her previous five appearances. Clark hit five of her 10 shots from behind the arc against Minnesota, setting a new single-season franchise record in the first quarter.
She was far from the only contributor for the Fever, as Kelsey Mitchell dropped 23 points in 38 minutes on the floor. Aliyah Boston also chipped in with 20 points and five rebounds while shooting 9-15 from the field.
The Fever cut the deficit to just five points with over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, although Lynx guard Natisha Hiedeman hit a layup and got fouled to push the lead back to eight.
Clark was still able to score over 20 points in her fourth consecutive game, leaving fans amazed.
Napheesa Collier led the way for the Lynx, as the four-time All-Star finished with a double-double in 37 minutes of action. She scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds while hitting nine of her 10 free-throw attempts.
Indiana fell to 18-17 on the season as a whole following Friday’s loss, while Minnesota moved to 25-9.
