President Joe Biden honored the team with a warm reception, highlighting their dedication and accomplishments throughout the year.
During the ceremony, Biden praised the Celtics for their historic 18th NBA title, noting their league-best 64 wins in the season.
“It wasn’t easy, but you clocked one of the greatest seasons ever,” Biden stated, congratulating the team for their perseverance and success.
Star player Jayson Tatum expressed his excitement about the experience, calling it a moment to remember.
“It’s something you always watch as a kid, and to be part of the tradition is unforgettable,” he shared.
The Celtics presented Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris with personalized jerseys to commemorate the occasion.
The celebration also looked forward, with the Celtics aiming to defend their title in the 2024–25 season.
Starting strong with a 12-3 record, they aspire to replicate their success and secure consecutive championships, a feat last achieved by the Golden State Warriors in 2018.
