Lakers Star Posts Cryptic Message To Social Media After JJ Redick’s Decision

The Los Angeles Lakers got off to a hot 3-0 start under J.J. Redick to start the 2024-25 NBA season.

This prompted many to think that a new era was upon L.A. basketball.

Unfortunately, over their next seven games Los Angeles went 3-4.

This prompted Redick to make some changes. The team was relying too much on Anthony Davis and not getting much production out of anyone else.

The first alteration was benching D’Angelo Russell – which came with its own set of concerns and consequences.

The second was basically taking all of Max Christie’s minutes away.

This is hilarious, of course, because L.A. literally just signed Christie to a $32 million contract extension this past summer.

Following Redick’s decision to move away from playing him, Christie posted this cryptic message on social media:

“Stay the course,” the message reads.

Big picture, Christie is still young. But it is pretty clear at this point what sort of player he is.

And he isn’t a particularly impactful one.

It’s hard to know what the Lakers were thinking paying him $32 million.

Does Christie still have time to turn his career around? Sure. Will he? Probably not.
