Westbrook has a history of being fined by the NBA
THE NBA hit Russell Westbrook with a fine after he made a stunning gesture during a game.
The Denver Nuggets veteran point guard revealed the vulgar gesture during Friday’s 145-118 loss to the New York Knicks.

The Nuggets were down big in the fourth quarter when Westbrook made a three-pointer in the corner.
The nine-time NBA All-Star was then in front of the Knicks bench and gave them the middle-finger gesture.
The NBA fined Westbrook $35,000 on Friday for making the gesture.
The sequence happened after Westbrook was blocked by Knicks guard Josh Hart while driving to the basket.
Westbrook kept the ball and Knicks players pleaded with the officials to hand him a traveling violation.
Seconds later, Westbrook hit the three-point shot and gestured toward the Knicks bench.
He led the Nuggets with 27 points while coming off the bench in the defeat.
Westbrook has been fined by the NBA in the past.
In the game, Knicks star guard OG Anunoby scored a career-high 40 points.
This isn’t the first time Westbrook has been fined by the NBA.

He has previously received fines for numerous incidents which include using profanity during an interview in 2017, and an incident with a Utah Jazz fan in 2019.
Westbrook is in the first season with the Nuggets after penning a two-year veteran minimum deal in the summer.
He is earning $3.3 million this season with a player option for the 2025-26 season.
Westbrook has contributed as the team’s sixth man.
He has averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 17 games.
The Nuggets have been off to an unimpressive 10-7 start to the campaign.
They have lost four of their last seven games after opening November with a five-game winning streak.
Denver will go on the road to face the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night.
The Clippers have a 12-9 record for the year.
