The Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback chose to swap football for baseball on October 9.

Patrick Mahomes‘ decision to head to the postseason MLB clash between the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals could cause a ‘feud’ with his wife and mother of his children, Brittany.

The Royals took on the Yankees in Game 3 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) but suffered a 3-2 loss as Aaron Judge‘s team took a 2-1 series lead to take to the Kauffman Stadium for Game 4.

And it seems they might not be the only Kansas City sports star on the losing side too as the Mahomes suggested his attendance at the game on October 10 could have caused a “feud” with his wife.

“It’s bye week,” Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ quarterback, told reporters.

“So Brittany‘s vacationing and me getting to the Royals game. We’ll feud for sure.”

The 29-year-old football star attended the game in Missouri with his brother, Jackson, and was spotted cheering on the Royals when they levelled the affairs in the bottom of the fifth through two runs, before the Yankees‘ Giancarlo Stanton homered to center in the eighth.

Mahomes, an avid baseball fan, was also keeping an eye on the scores during his NFL Week 5 match against the New Orleans Saints as the Chiefs offered sporadic updates on the boards at the Arrowhead Stadium.

“I really wanted to focus on the game,” Mahomes said of the in-stadium updates.

“And then let look after and maybe get, like, a scoreboard kind of shot of it.

“And they gave us a couple of those, but like, you could feel that stuff was going good, and there was kind of a lull there, kind of, I think, towards the end of the end of the game.”
