Beating the Kansas City Chiefs isn’t the end game for the Buffalo Bills and this year, it really feels like they are gunning for the Super Bowl.
Fans at the Highmark Stadium were chanting “MVP” after Josh Allen’s 26-yard TD run to extend the lead.
But one win against the back-to-back Super Bowl winners doesn’t satisfy the Bills head coach, Sean McDermott.
Josh Allen and the Bills became the first team to hand Patrick Mahomes the taste of his own medicine.
But for McDermott, “This is not the finish line.
” Moreover, the 30-21 win isn’t some sort of a “statement” Josh Allen made against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Well, if anything, McDermott should feel good because they defeated the Chiefs.
They were undefeated since December 17, 2023, when they went against the Raiders.
The KC team made a lot of mistakes, and the Bills defense was quick to capitalize on that.

” But that statement didn’t age well in front of the Bills Mafia.
The fact that the Bills have won four straight regular-season games still stands.
but the Chiefs have a postseason edge.
What’s even more astonishing is that Josh Allen played through a sore hand but still came up with a 262-yard, 2TD (1 rushing) performance to lead the Bills 9-2.
By the way, did you know that Josh Allen scored his 58 rushing touchdown of his career.
That moved him into second on the Bills list, one ahead of O.J. Simpson.
and seven behind Thurman Thomas, per ESPN.
That’s not all, it also happens that Josh Allen tied to Bills legend Jim Kelly first with 244 career touchdowns.
However, things might have been different if Sean McDermott hadn’t decided to go for it towards the end of the game.
The risk paid off for Josh Allen and the Bills.
The Buffalo team was leading by two points toward the end of the fourth quarter.
McDermott and his squad knew they couldn’t settle for a field goal and give Mahomes an upper hand.
So, they decided to go for it. It was 4 down and 2 and Allen decided to pick up 24 more yards to carry his team for the win.
The risk taken proved to be worthy.
The Bills head coach thinks the Chiefs offense was way too good and didn’t want to squander the opportunity he had.
“They’re just way too good to not go for it there,” McDermott said after the game.
Allen knows he will see the Chiefs again in the playoffs.
But after the win, all he had in his mind was to thank coach McDermott for trusting him.
With this, the Bills have advanced to 9-2 and the next game is supposed to be even more thrilling as they host the Niners at home.
It won’t be a cakewalk, but the spirits are high in Buffalo.
