Recently, Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams was suspended for two games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy.
Unfortunately for him, that isn’t the worst reason he has made headlines in the last few weeks.
Recently, Williams was pulled over by police, and his brother admitted to police that there were two guns in the car.
One was in the back seat, and another under William’s seat.
Williams then tried to use his status to get out of trouble.
“I play for the Lions, bro. I’m Jameson Williams,” he said.
“Bro, I play for the Detroit Lions,” he would later add.”
Later, he was asked why he had the guns in the first place, and he claimed it was for “protection.
” “Do you guys know where I live at? Detroit!” he said.

However, using that tactic worked, as he would later be released, and no arrest was made, even though he was originally told he would be taken into custody.
Now, according to 7 News Detroit, the police department, which was a part of the stop.
will now be launching an investigation into “why Williams was released from custody after officers planned to take him to jail.“
Jameson Williams Could Face Another Suspension
Williams has already served one game of his two-game suspension for the failed PED test, but given this recent situation, he could serve another.
The NFL has cracked down on a lot of player’s off-the-field problems, and anytime guns are involved like this, the league gets involved in some way.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell even commented on the recent situation.
“It’s really decision making for him.
And that’s where he knows he can be better, don’t put yourself in those situations,” Campbell said.
