Patrick Mahomes Assigns Blame For Critical Mistake In Chiefs-Bills.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs finally dropped their first game of the season after suffering a 30-21 loss to Josh Allen .
and the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season.
Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl MVP, didn’t necessarily play his best game of the season, completing 23-of-33 passes for 196 yards.
However, there was one play in particular that could have given the Chiefs some much-needed points in the first half.
and potentially changed the outcome.
On 1st-and-10, with just over ten minutes remaining in the second quarter.
Mahomes missed an open Xavier Worthy on a deep pass that led the wide receiver out of bounds.
Had the quarterback hit Worthy inbounds, it would have been a walk-in touchdown, giving the Chiefs an extra seven points.

Following the game, Mahomes addressed this play, assigning blame to himself for the critical mistake.
“I mean, it’s probably just me just throwing it more in bounds to [Worthy] that’s wide open for a touchdown,” Mahomes said.
“So, if I throw it in bounds, it’s a walk-in touchdown.
I have to be better there.
Xavier came out hot, making plays.
Hopefully we can keep him more involved throughout the entirety of the game.
That goes with me giving him chances.”
Worthy, Kansas City’s No. 28 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, had a solid outing against the Bills.
recording four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, his fourth receiving score of the season.
Mahomes’ other two touchdown throws went to tight end Noah Gray.
With the loss, the Chiefs fall to 9-1 on the season but are still sitting atop the AFC standings with seven games left.
They will get the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, the Bills have jumped to 9-2 and sit just a half-game back of Kansas City for first place.
Allen and company will be off in Week 12 before hosting the San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football” on Dec. 1.
