The WNBA playoffs just took a dark turn â and all eyes are now on Las Vegas Aces star Aâja Wilson.
After a hard foul left Indiana Feverâs Lexie Hull writhing on the floor in pain, league officials have reportedly launched a full investigation into what some are calling the dirtiest play of the postseason â and possibly much more sinister.

đ„ The Hit That Sparked Outrage
The incident occurred during Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals when Wilson delivered what many are calling an unnecessary and dangerous hit on Hull, who was already battling a back injury. Footage shows Hull being blindsided on a screen, thrown to the floor in a moment that left fans â and players â in shock.
âShe got creamed. That wasnât playoff physicality â that was reckless,â one analyst said postgame.
But what really lit the fire? The whistle never came. No foul. No review. No concern.
And thatâs where things get suspicious.
đ”ïžââïž League Investigation Underway
According to reports circulating late last night, the WNBA has quietly launched an internal investigation into the incident. But itâs not just about whether Wilson deserves a suspension. Sources suggest the league is also reviewing allegations of potential referee misconduct â including the explosive claim that officials may have been influenced to protect Wilson and the Aces.
Yes, you read that right: Potential bribery.
While no names have been formally released, early whispers inside league circles suggest that certain officiating patterns from Game 2 have raised serious red flags â particularly the disproportionate number of calls favoring Las Vegas, and the blatant non-calls when Indiana players were taken down.
Feverâs Sophie Cunningham rips Aâja Wilson for disrespecting Fever after upset win
Sophie Cunningham doesn’t think that the Aces and A’ja Wilson gave the Fever enough credit after their Game 1 win.

The Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces series is tied 1-1 in the semifinals, and they will be heading to Indiana for Game 3. The Fever were able to steal Game 1 on the road after a huge effort from Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 34 points. They played well on both sides of the ball, and the Aces didn’t have any answers for them.
Despite them playing well, Sophie Cunningham doesn’t think that the Aces gave them enough credit, specifically A’ja Wilson, and she spoke about it on her podcast, Show Me Something.
âThe Aces gave, they had media the next day and they gave us no credit,â Cunningham said. âEspecially like Aâja, sheâs like, âOh I just played bad.â Iâm like dude, AB had you in clamps my girl. And then like Game Two, we all kinda knew the league side of things, they definitely play better, donât get me wrong. Vegas played better. Junk defense, which was hard for us we werenât hitting our shots whatsoever.â
Wilson finished Game 1 with 16 points and 13 rebounds, but she shot 6-f0r-22 from the field, as Aliyah Boston did her best to make things hard for the four-time MVP. Luckily for the Aces, they were able to bounce back in Game 2 with a 90-68 win.
The Fever should feel good going back home with the series tied and the crowd behind them. Not many people expected them to make it this far, especially with all the injuries that they have had. Cunningham has been on the sidelines, as well as Caitlin Clark, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald.
Nonetheless, other players have been able to step up in their absence, such as Lexie Hill, Odyssey Sims, Aerial Powers, and others.
If they can continue to play at a high level, there’s a good chance that they can win another game and make things interesting.
