Outspoken sports journalist Jemele Hill has once again shaken up the basketball world — this time with a scorching hot take that’s lighting up every corner of the WNBA community. During a recent segment, Hill made the bold proclamation that Angel Reese is not only the future of the WNBA but is already outshining fellow rookie sensation Caitlin Clark — and went as far as to call Reese the “Michael Jordan of the WNBA.”
“We’re watching something special with Angel Reese,” Hill said. “She’s not just dominating — she’s defining an era. She’s the Michael Jordan of the WNBA.”
With that statement, Hill sent basketball Twitter into a frenzy.

The Rivalry Reignites 🔥
Reese and Clark have been compared since their iconic faceoff in the 2023 NCAA championship game. That matchup helped catapult both players into the national spotlight — and their arrival in the WNBA has only intensified the comparisons.
Clark, the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever, came into the league with record-breaking viewership, massive endorsement deals, and a reputation as one of the greatest shooters in NCAA history.
Reese, drafted by the Chicago Sky, has taken a different but no less impactful path: relentless double-doubles, elite rebounding, physical play, and a brand rooted in authenticity, confidence, and unapologetic energy. Her historic double-double
Injured Angel Reese Wins the Internet Despite Chicago Sky’s Blowout Loss Against Fever
Angel Reese missed her second straight game for the Chicago Sky due to her back injury. In her absence, the Windy City franchise lost to the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever, 93-78.
Despite her absence, Reese still made headlines on Sunday after the WNBA posted photos of her and the rest of the Chicago Sky showing off their personal styles prior to the contest.
Reese rocked a pink Dior T-shirt, which she paired with what appears to be a fur shawl. She also wore leather cargo pants and completed her look with a Dior handbag that matched her top.
“FIT CHECK = STRAIGHT 10’S,” the WNBA wrote in the caption. “The @chicagosky are set to take on the Indiana Fever NEXT UP at 3pm/ET live on ABC.”
Angel Reese’s outfit absolutely stood out, with plenty of fans commenting on the WNBA’s post and heaping praise on the Chi Barbie.
“Dior divaaaaa,” a commenter wrote along with fire emojis, referring to Reese. Another one said, “Angel flawless as ever.”
“Chi Barbie dripped out!” a fan added.
A supporter remarked, “ANGEL CUTIE .”
“ATE,” a fifth follower posted while tagging the Sky star.
“The WNBA finally catching up with fans and realizing Angel is the face of the league,” a social media user noted.
Sure enough, though, fans are eager to see Angel Reese back on the court. While Reese continues to impress off it, the Sky are in dire need of help after dropping to 7-18 on the season. They have now lost their last five games, with their playoff hopes quickly slipping away.
