WNBA Facing Intense Backlash Over Decision On Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever Game.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are gearing up for their 23rd game of the 2024 WNBA season as they get set to host the Washington Mystics on Wednesday, July 10. This will be the third meeting between these two teams this year.
For some reason, the WNBA decided to schedule the game at noon ET on a weekday. Many fans will be at work and won’t be able to watch the matchup.

The Fever and Mystics matchup is not the only game impacted by this change in schedule. Three other games scheduled on the same day, including teams that featured the Chicago Sky, New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces, were also scheduled to commence during working hours.
Some think the reasoning behind this weird WNBA schedule is due to the Team USA vs. Canada men’s basketball pre-Olympics scrimmage that starts at 10:30 p.m. ET, but the league easily could have scheduled games around that so as not to conflict with their fans’ work hours.
Fans are not happy with the WNBA’s scheduling decision and made sure they knew about it on social media.
After a 3-10 start to the season, the Fever have improved to 9-13 after winning six of their last nine games. This team is now in a prime position to make the WNBA Playoffs for the first time since 2016.
