Travis Kelce Told to ‘Get Lost’ by FOX Reporter as Chiefs TE Confirmed Who Influenced the Retirement Decision

Has Travis Kelce got enough confetti in his hair? The Chiefs TE does not think so. And that is why he has decided not to step away from the gridiron just yet. Kelce said he has got some football left in him. After the Chiefs’ loss to Philly in their three-peat run, there was only one question for the team: Is Travis Kelce retiring? And Kelce is here to answer that for you -no, he is not hanging up his cleats yet. So, is the Chiefs Kingdom happy? Probably! But not everyone is.

Enter Fox Sports reporter Rob Parker, who has a harsh opinion on Travis Kelce’s return to football. Rob thinks it’s time for Kelce to ride off into the sunset with his three Super Bowl wins. The Chiefs TE has created quite an unsettlement in the NFL world, so Fox decided to chime in too, doing an episode of The Odd Couple: Rob Parker & Kelvin Washington on the big news. As Rob opened the show, he did not mince his words, telling Kelce to “get lost” and “not let the door hit him on the way out,” in the end.

Scrutinizing Kelce’s performance in the Super Bowl against the Eagles, Rob said, “The Chiefs are making a mistake… Did you watch Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl? He was a no-show—four catches for 39 yards. Go back and watch the tape where Patrick Mahomes is trying to escape Philadelphia defenders…he’s not blocking. He’s standing there and counting the attendance.” Travis has put his career low in his stats column this season. The Chiefs’ TE recorded 97 receptions for 823 yards, with an average of 8.3 yards per catch. The 35-year-old’s best performance this season was in the divisional game against the Texans. Kelce scored a TD in that game while racking up 117 yards, averaging 16.7 yards per catch.

Well, speaking of catch, Rob did not hold back, saying, “His best catch the last few years is that superstar girlfriend.” Woah!

Travis Kelce is not done yet

Travis Kelce broke the news of his return for the 2025 season over a text. Yes, you read that right. The Chiefs TE told Pat McAfee in a text, “I’m coming back for sure.” The former punter and sports analyst Pat McAfee read the much-awaited announcement on Thursday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show. “Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and with how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that.” That’s what Kelce had to say about his return. So, whether you like it or not, Travis will be back on the gridiron in the 2025 season, too.

Well, finally, after so many days of speculation and rumors, we now have clarity on Kelce’s return. The Chiefs’ TE said, “I owe it to my teammates.” Well, his teammates are not the only force driving him back to the gridiron.

There is someone else too. And that is his superstar girlfriend. That’s right! Taylor Swift is also a reason Kelce has decided not to retire from football yet. How is that? Well, Swift is Kelce’s inspiration these days. “The only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first. I just listen to Taylor’s music. She has something for everything,” Kelce shared with his brother Jason on their New Heights podcast.

Now that Kelce will be returning, are you all ready to watch him back on the gridiron? Or do you share the same feelings as Rob Parker about his return?
