On Thursday (April 28), the New York Hip Hop veteran-turned-TV producer launched a public financial recon mission on his Instagram targeting Love & Hip Hop star Teairra Mari. In 2018, Mari was court-ordered in a judgment to pay 50 Cent $37,000 in attorney fees in connection with a revenge porn lawsuit she filed against Fifty and her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad in May 2017 for redistributing explicit 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual images of her on social media.
Using a screenshot of a headline reporting on a recent hearing his legal team conducted, 50 Cent demanded that Teairra Mari show some respect to the judicial system and pay up once and for all.
“Young lady your going to learn to have respect for the legal system whether you like it or not. where is your friend lisa bloom now ! she ran away and left you smh you know you done fvcked up right ! I want Money by Monday. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” he wrote in the caption.
On multiple occasions, Mari has expressed her unwillingness to pay the sum to Fifty, citing financial constraints, yet the Queens-bred rap mogul isn’t buying it. In the four years since the judgment was issued, 50 Cent has remained relentless in his attempts to obtain the settlement and was awarded another $4,000 in July 2019 by a judge presiding over the case.
In 2021, a Los Angeles Superior Court granted 50 Cent’s motion for Teairra Mari to be sanctioned for her refusal to pay the judgment, and an additional $6,000 in fees was added to the total sum.
In the past, 50 Cent has utilized his IG account as a debt collection tool. In 2019 he called out Rotimi for allegedly owing him $3000,000 and reminded Bow Wow that he hasn’t forgotten the time the “Let Me Hold You” rapper stole money from him in the strip club in the midst of his social media feud with Madonna last year.
