BREAKING NEWS : Patrick Bailey helped the San Francisco Giants secure a 7-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks

Patrick Bailey had a fantastic game, driving in three runs and getting four hits, including a two-run homer that landed in McCovey Cove. This homer broke the tie in the fifth inning.

It was a special moment because it was the first time a switch-hitter hit a splash home run since 2019. Bailey’s performance was even more impressive considering it was also his bobblehead giveaway day, and he signed bobbleheads for fans before the game.

Bailey’s four-hit game was his second in the majors. All of his hits came with two outs, and he was only a triple away from hitting for the cycle. However, his double in the seventh inning just bounced over the left-field wall, preventing him from achieving this feat.

“I was considering it,” Bailey mentioned. “I was thinking I might try to push the boundaries a little.”

Harrison pitched for four innings, allowing three runs and six hits. The Giants’ bullpen then came in and didn’t allow any more runs. Ryan Walker got the win by pitching a perfect inning.

The San Francisco team has a chance to win their second consecutive series on Sunday. This comes after they bounced back from a tough 17-1 loss on Friday by getting a season-high 16 hits in this game.

“Yesterday’s game wasn’t our best performance,” Bailey reflected. “But throughout 162 games, if we keep playing like we did today, we could achieve something great here, without a doubt.”

Gallen, who gave up five runs, had been very successful in April starts previously, with a perfect 7-0 record and a low ERA. Despite feeling like he was making good pitches, he acknowledged the hitters’ efforts in this game.
