VIDEO: Brittney Griner hit Clark in the face while trying to play tight perimeter defense, Clark scored beautifully.

This video made everyone remember their last skirmish. One month ago, during Fever vs Mercury battle, Clark had 20 points, 13 assists and six rebounds in the Fever’s 95-86 win over the Mercury. It was her fifth consecutive game with a double-double.

During last night’s battle, Griner and the Mercury did everything they could to chase Clark off the 3-point line. At one point, Griner even hit Clark in the face while trying to play tight perimeter defense.

Griner didn’t appear to hit Clark with malicious intent, so it’s not a huge deal. However, it’s a problem that WNBA officials missed the foul.

WNBA fans couldn’t help but blast the league’s officiating for missing yet another foul against Clark.

“Not dirty but that should have been called a foul,” one fan said.

“She welcoming Rook into the W,” a second fan commented. “All a part of the game.”

“One of the worst all time calls in all of basketball anywhere,” a third fan wrote.

“This is ridiculous,” another fan tweeted.

Clark and Griner have shown nothing but respect to each other. This minor incident won’t change that.

Last night, Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to have at least 400 points, 150 assists and 100 rebounds in a season. She’s well on her way to being the Rookie of the Year.
