Caitlin Clark had quite a night on Tuesday, as the Indiana Fever star rookie dropped a career-high 30 points during a home game versus the visiting Los Angeles Sparks.

However, not even her fiery offensive performance was enough to tow the Fever to a victory, with Indiana suffering an 88-82 loss —  the Fever’s second in a row and seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA season, thus far.

Despite her electrifying offense against the Sparks, Clark still looked like she had plenty of learning to do in the pros.

For one, she has to improve her ball security, an issue that frustrated Fever home fans in the Sparks game.

“She also made the home fans wince with three first-half turnovers and when a frustrated Clark’ drew a technical foul with 2.7 seconds left in the first quarter, coach Christie Sides even pulled her star rookie toward the free-throw line for a discussion between quarters.”

Clark finished the game with seven turnovers. It was the fifth game this season where she gave the ball away at least five times. She has also recorded 13 turnovers over the last two Fever games.

It’s all part of Clark’s learning process, as many expected her to have such struggles in her first season as a pro. She will look to do better this coming Thursday against the Seattle Storm at home.
