Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will go down as one of the best to ever do it in the NFL and his legacy keeps on growing everytime his team gets a victory.  The Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the 2024 NFL season (9-0) after a very tough battle against the Denver Broncos that ended with a blocked kick that would have giving the team from Colorado the victory at the last second. Kansas City won 16-14.

Andy Reids reveals that he’s getting too old for this

After the win, coach Andy Reid adressed his team in the locker room and make a confession. I’m getting way too old for this, men. Listen, great job of sticking with it. Leo, George, whoever it was (…) Alright, Superman.” said Reid to his players.

He was talking about Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Leo Chenal, who blocked the potential game-winning Denver Broncos field-goal try as time expired Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.  After the game, Chenal told reporters that he could “feel the weight of the moment” before he blocked the field-goal.

 

Not everything was bad news from Andy Reid. The Chiefs coach did promise that he was gonna get Chenal a cheeseburger.

Did the Chiefs get some help from the refs?

The Kansas City Chiefs’ unbeaten run continued in Week 10 with a narrow 14-16 win over the Denver Broncos, securing a 9-0 season record.  However, as fans celebrate the Chiefs’ achievements, questions around NFL refereeing consistency have reignited, with accusations that certain calls may be tipping the scales in Kansas City’s favor.

In a game that saw Kansas City overcome a 14-3 deficit, the Broncos had a final chance to upset the reigning Super Bowl champions. While the Chiefs’ defense was undeniably effective, some controversial officiating decisions have prompted online backlash.  The turning point came in the second quarter, when Broncos safety Brandon Jones tackled Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

 

Officials flagged Jones for unnecessary contact, awarding Kansas City a critical first down-a call that left many fans questioning the NFL’s officiating standards.
