Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham went viral after she was one of the first WNBA players to react to the second d*ldo-throwing incident in the WNBA.
In her tweet, Sophie asked fans to stop throwing d*ldos on WNBA courts because it could hurt someone.
Then, a fan decided to make her a victim of it.
Cunningham was unexpectedly struck by a flying d*ldo during Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks, marking the third d*ldo-related incident to plague the league.
Happening with around two minutes left in the second quarter in Tuesday’s game, the sex object soared through the air to land next to Fever’s Sophie Cunningham, before it was kicked into the stands by Kelsey Plum.
Someone was arrested just a week ago in Atlanta during the fourth quarter of the Dream’s game against Golden State in College Park, Georgia.
Hours after the game, Cunningham took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a cryptic self-aware tweet:

“this did NOT age well.”
The tweet she was referring to was her own, as she initially wrote, “Stop throwing d*ldos on the court… you’re going to hurt one of us.”
Sophie Cunningham Has To Watch Her Back Now
There are strange sports traditions around the world, but nothing comes close to what the WNBA is experiencing.
For the third time this year, the now-infamous lime green sex toy made yet another unwelcome appearance on the court—this time during the Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday.
The first two times, Sophie Cunningham spoke out.
In this instance, Cunningham was the unfortunate recipient when, late in the second quarter, after Sparks star Kelsey Plum made a free throw, the infamous sex toy appeared to bounce off her lower area.
Unfortunately, she might have to deal with this for the remainder of the season.
