Cameras caught an epic reaction between Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid after the latter suffered an ankle injury scare in Monday night’s home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Immediately after Patrick Mahomes flipped the game-tying touchdown pass to Samaje Perine early in the fourth quarter, Arrowhead Stadium went quiet when the star quarterback started hobbling:
#Chiefs motion Hopkins over to Kelce’s side. They run a high low. Perine just gives Mahomes an outlet. Then once he runs over to pull the backer, loft it over top for the wide open touchdown. #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/JJQFfbKjDm

Thankfully, Mahomes’ non-contact injury and scare proved to be nothing serious. He didn’t miss a single snap, and the Chiefs won an overtime thriller 30-24 in a Super Bowl 55 rematch.
A new video has emerged showing the epic interaction between Reid and Mahomes after the latter suffered an injury. Reid asked the superstar signal-caller if he wanted to be taken out, but No. 15 said, “No, no. Come on man.”
Leader: Patrick Mahomes did NOT want to come out of the game on MNF despite being hurt:
Reid: “Do you want me to take you out?”
Patrick: “No, no, c’mon man.”

Mahomes told reporters that his ankle is still “sore”, but that he’s able to “move around.” The Chiefs will try to improve to 9-0 when they host Bo Nix and the AFC West rival Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
Through his first eight games of 2024, Mahomes has completed 69.9 percent of pass attempts for 1,942 yards and 11 touchdowns against nine interceptions.
Patrick Mahomes Is No Stranger To Fighting Through Pain
As the NFL world was reminded on Monday night, Mahomes just has a way with fighting through pain and still playing at his best. He fought through a right ankle sprain in Super Bowl 57 against the Philadelphia Eagles, leading the team to an epic three-point victory to win their second title in four years.
