The offensive side of the ball for the Kansas City Chiefs has been a huge topic of discussion over the last few weeks. Against the Broncos, the Chiefs had the ball with four minutes left and a chance to win the game. They couldn’t do it. On Sunday, they did it to tie the game, and then did it again to win it. Obviously, the defense needs some serious love, but the offense delivered when it needed to most. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy needs his praise.

“On the offensive side, we had some penalties there that we have to take care of again in crucial situations,” head coach Andy Reid told reporters after the 23-20 win. “The one positive on that was the guys kept going (and) kept punching and were able to smooth it out a little bit and get rid of some of the mistakes and did a great job there. (Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy) Nags had a phenomenal plan.

The Chiefs finally realized that they can run the ball. They did so until they couldn’t do it anymore, and running back Kareem Hunt is definitely going to feel it in the morning. The Chiefs rushed for 148 rushing yards, more than their per-game average of 113. But, it’s more about running the ball when they actually need to — when the game is in reach.
When it was time to pass the ball, Nagy finally cooked up some deep passing concepts that worked, and if it didn’t work, he cooked up something to get Rashee Rice in space, and he did the rest. The offense looked amazing on the first two drives, aside from the red-zone errors, and on the last two drives. Let’s see if it carries over to the Dallas Cowboys.
