The upscale menu features items like togarashi fried chicken, wagyu smash burgers, and a steak flight experience with premium beef selections
Slated to open in late 2025 at the Loews Hotel, the restaurant will include private dining rooms, a chef’s kitchen, and décor celebrating the players’ NFL careers
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce sat down to taste a few of the offerings at their forthcoming steakhouse, and if their reactions are any indication of what’s to be expected, the new restaurant will be a must-try.
On Tuesday, July 29, the official Instagram account of 1587 Prime Steakhouse, owned by the two Kansas City Chiefs players and hospitality group Noble 33, shared a video of the duo’s first taste tests of prime steak cuts and butter options that will be available at the Kansas City venue.

The tasting menu included a variety of butters (white truffle, chiles toreados, bone marrow, garlic and hibiscus) and condiments like truffle soy and chimichurri.
“I could just tell from the first bite that that was going to be a ‘yeah,’” Kelce says after reaching for one of the butters. While tasting the offerings himself, Mahomes leans back in his chair and audibly applauds as he points to one of the butters on the table and tells Kelce, “You need some of that, dog.”

The clip also showcases a snippet of the expected menu, which lists wagyu beef, a chop salad, togarashi fried chicken, shrimp sautéed in diablo sauce and chipotle peppers and a smash burger made with Japanese A5 wagyu beef. The menu also includes a steak flight experience that offers a sampling of a wagyu filet, a Black Angus ribeye and a Japanese New York strip steak.
Kelce commented on the post, writing, “Man that food was better than I could have imagined!! KC get ready baby!!”
1587 Prime, whose name is inspired by the Super Bowl champions’ jersey numbers, was first announced in March 2024. The venue, located in the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, aims to be an immersive and upscale dining experience for residents and tourists.
“Travis and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,” shared Mahomes in a statement at the time.
Kelce added, “We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own, Kansas City.”
The restaurant will occupy 10,000 square feet and two floors with multiple private dining areas, a world-class chef’s kitchen, an extensive wine collection and an impressive meat display. Notably, the decor will feature homages to the player’s NFL accomplishments.
1587 Prime was originally slated to open early 2025. No official opening date has been released.
