Millie Bobby Brown Reveals Injury After Sudden Absence From ‘Good Morning America’

Millie Bobby Brown surprised fans when she was noticeably absent from a scheduled in-person appearance on Good Morning America on December 15. The actress, however, quickly reassured viewers that there was a simple—and unfortunate—reason behind her sudden no-show.

The Stranger Things star had been set to appear live in the studio alongside longtime co-star Noah Schnapp to promote the highly anticipated final season of the Netflix hit series. When the segment began without her, host Laura Spencer addressed the situation directly.

“She was supposed to be here with Millie Bobby Brown,” Spencer told the audience. “She’s not here because she took a spill—a little fall—but she’s fine.”

Shortly after, the show aired a video message from Brown herself. The 21-year-old actress appeared cheerful but visibly injured, with one arm resting in a black sling.

“Hi, everyone at GMA. I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys,” Brown said. “I took a fall.”

Despite being sidelined by the injury, Brown still found a way to participate in the interview. From afar, she asked Noah Schnapp a heartfelt question about his favorite family holiday tradition and cherished seasonal memories, ending the message with a warm goodbye. “We love you too, Millie. Feel better,” the hosts said, noting how much they wished she could have been there in person.

Brown and Schnapp have worked together on Stranger Things for more than a decade, forming a close bond both on and off screen. Their friendship has extended far beyond the show, with Schnapp recently revealing that he is the godfather to Brown’s newborn daughter.

Speaking about the honor during a recent appearance on The View, Schnapp reflected on how their childhood conversations had come full circle.

“It’s such an honor,” he said. “We grew up together, and when we were kids she used to say, ‘When I have a kid, you’re definitely going to be the godfather.’ Then we grew up, she had a kid—and now I am.”

The close relationships within the Stranger Things cast go well beyond just Brown and Schnapp. During his GMA interview, Schnapp shared that the core cast—including Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink—plans to watch the series finale together.

“That’s the last episode we’re going to watch together,” he said. “It’s so emotional. Reading it was already overwhelming—I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like to watch. I’ll probably be sobbing the rest of the day, maybe the rest of the month.”

When asked what he will miss most once the show comes to an end, Schnapp didn’t hesitate.

“I’m going to miss our Stranger Things family,” he said. “Not just the cast, but the crew and everyone at Netflix. We’ve all grown up together, and it’s going to be really hard to let that go.”
