Donald Trump Announces Donald Trump Jr.’s Engagement to Bettina Anderson at White House Christmas Party
Donald Trump Jr. is officially engaged. The news was revealed in dramatic fashion by his father, President Donald Trump, during the White House Christmas party on December 15.
The announcement came to light after far-right activist Laura Loomer shared a video clip of the moment on social media. In the footage, Trump Jr., the eldest child of the president, is seen embracing his father before addressing guests and inviting his fiancée, socialite Bettina Anderson, to say a few words.
Trump Jr. jokingly described the nerves leading up to the proposal. “You go down there and it’s like you’re going to ask, and you’re not sure what the answer is going to be,” he said. “It’s always a little bit rough—but she said yes. So that’s a big win for the end of the year.”
President Trump followed with a lighthearted remark before handing the microphone to Anderson, quipping, “We’ll see if she’s any good.”
Anderson then delivered an emotional speech, expressing gratitude and excitement over the engagement. “Wow. What a privilege it is to be here in the White House,” she said. “Mr. President, thank you so much for hosting this incredible party. And to our First Lady—these decorations, am I right? Are they unbelievable?”
She continued, visibly moved, “This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life. I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. So thank you, and thank you, Mr. President.”
Trump Jr. was previously engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, who now serves as the U.S. ambassador to Greece. While the exact timeline of their split remains unclear, Anderson had been seen around the Trump family months earlier. She notably attended the Republican National Convention in the summer of 2024, where she was seated behind Guilfoyle and Trump Jr.’s sister, Ivanka Trump.
By December, sources told People magazine that Trump Jr. and Anderson had been dating for approximately six months. The couple later made a high-profile appearance together at Donald Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025, further fueling speculation about their relationship.
Trump Jr., 47, was previously married to Vanessa Haydon Trump, with whom he shares five children. Vanessa has since moved on and is now reportedly dating professional golfer Tiger Woods.
