Sydney Sweeney Shuts Down Rumors She’s “Gotten Work Done”
Sydney Sweeney is firmly setting the record straight.
The actress recently addressed long-running speculation about cosmetic procedures during a candid appearance on Allure’s Truth Serum segment, alongside her The Housemaid co-star Amanda Seyfried. Without hesitation, Sweeney made her stance crystal clear.

“I have never gotten work done,” the 28-year-old actress said, adding with a laugh, “I am so scared of needles. You have no idea.”
Sydney also called out the unrealistic and often harsh comparisons circulating on social media, where users contrast photos of her as a child with polished red-carpet images from adulthood.

“You guys, you cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting,” she explained. “Of course I’m going to look different. Everybody on social media is insane.”
Her comments echo a growing frustration among celebrities who feel pressured to justify natural aging, styling changes, and the effects of professional glam teams.

Promoting The Housemaid — and Praising Amanda Seyfried
Sweeney is currently promoting her upcoming film The Housemaid, and during the movie’s premiere, she couldn’t stop raving about her bond with Amanda Seyfried.
“She’s my everything,” Sydney told Access Hollywood. “I love her so much. She’s someone who I hope I can work with for the rest of my life.”
The Euphoria star described Seyfried as kind, funny, and deeply supportive during a challenging year in her life.
“She’s just been there for me in a way that no one really has,” Sweeney said. “She opened my eyes to so much, and I truly appreciate her.”
Amanda returned the love, praising Sydney’s authenticity.
“I love that she’s so real,” Seyfried shared. “She’s so cool. That’s why I love interviewing her.”

“Were We Separated at Birth?”
The two actresses revealed just how close they’ve become, sharing lighthearted moments from their press tour. One such moment involved discovering they have the exact same Christmas morning tradition.
“We were talking about what our first dishes are when we wake up on Christmas morning,” Sydney said. “We both said cinnamon rolls at the same time.”
“There are so many moments where we’re like, ‘Were we separated at birth somehow?’” she added. “It’s crazy.”

Owning Her Image, On Her Terms
By shutting down cosmetic surgery rumors and openly criticizing unrealistic online comparisons, Sydney Sweeney continues to assert control over her own narrative — emphasizing honesty, self-acceptance, and the reality behind Hollywood glamour.
As she steps into her next major role with The Housemaid, one thing is clear: Sydney Sweeney isn’t interested in living up to internet speculation — only in being herself.
