Tavia Hunt sends sweet congrats as chiefs kicker Harrison Butker welcomes baby No. 3
Nevertheless, Butker’s controversial speech still sparks buzz.
Tavia Hunt sent an emotional congratulations to Harrison Butker on the birth of his third child.
Harrison Butker, star kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife Isabelle are celebrating the arrival of their third child. The couple, already parents to son James (born in 2019) and a daughter whose name remains private, welcomed their newest addition with heartfelt joy.
Among the first to offer congratulations was Tavia Hunt, wife of Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt. She took to Instagram Stories on Friday to extend warm wishes: “Congrats Isabelle & @buttkicker7.” Tavia completed her message with birthday streamer and praying hands emojis.
While the Butkers are basking in family bliss, the player also addressed lingering reactions from his viral commencement speech at Benedictine College five months ago. Speaking candidly on Fox’s The Ingraham Angle, the kicker reflected on how his message had been misunderstood.
Butker made his point clear
“I wanted to uplift women who dedicate their lives to being homemakers, the ones raising children. It’s a beautiful role and should be celebrated-not diminished. That doesn’t mean I’m putting down anyone who chooses a career. Both paths deserve respect.” Butker explained.
The speech, which encouraged women to embrace the homemaker role if they wished, stirred mixed reactions at the time. Chiefs president Mark Donovan weighed in during an interview with Variety, sharing his perspective on balancing diverse viewpoints within the organization.
“One of the things we preach is respect,” Donovan said. “I respect Harrison’s views, even if I don’t fully agree. And he respects that too. We’ve had those conversations, and that’s how we manage things within the team-respect comes first.”
Donovan acknowledged that maintaining mutual respect is essential for locker room harmony. “We’ve had different viewpoints among players before. You don’t have to see eye-to-eye on everything, but you do have to respect each other and work together,” he added.
Harrison continues to show his interest in politics
Butker has also expanded his public influence beyond the gridiron. Recently, the kicker launched a political action committee and threw his endorsement behind Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, further fueling public interest in his evolving persona.
From new fatherhood to off-field controversies, Harrison Butker continues to be a prominent-and sometimes polarizing-figure, both on and off the field.
