Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs Sent Jim Harbaugh Warning Shots, by Mike Florio, Following Chargers’ Star 1-word message

A few months back, no one expected the Chargers to be this good. But when Jim Harbaugh became the head coach, changes were guaranteed. He was the HC of the 49ers before leaving the league for the Michigan Wolverines. Now, he has returned to the NFL as the Bolts head coach. Last year, they won 5 and lost 12 games. In 2024, it’s different with a 6-3 win-loss record after week 10.

There is a challenge ahead of him. The team needs at least 3-4 more wins to qualify for the playoffs. On the November 15 episode of NBC’s Pro Football Talk Show, Mike Florio discussed the Chargers’ future campaign in the 2024 season and had a warning for the undefeated Chiefs.

“They are one of the hurdles that the Chiefs are going to have to overcome if they’re going to keep winning and old-school football guy Jim Harbaugh is going to love nothing more than to be the guy that gives them the first L of the season,” were Florio’s words while discussing the exciting week 14 matchup on December 8.

Patrick Mahomes would be listening very closely. He is the leader of the victorious campaign. The locker room knows it would not be an easy game, but they would be prepared as well. On the other hand, Jim Harbaugh has a no-nonsense approach to preparing for a game.

With his defense-first strategy, the HC has always believed in a rushing offense. Now, he has found support from his locker room as well.

Has Jim Harbaugh changed the Chargers vibe?

Rodney Harrison asked Derwin James Jr. about the new vibe in the locker room after HC and the safety replied, “Him. He really is him to me. The love, the passion he has for it.” That’s one thing y’all would also agree. The coach loves football too much. When he was diagnosed with atrial flutter a few weeks back, which causes the heart to beat very rapidly, he said that nothing could keep him away from football.

On the results side, he has been pushing Justin Herbert to use the O-line. You can also see him talking with his staff on the sidelines and trying to dictate plays. One interesting thing that Florio pointed out was that the Chargers hadn’t conceded more than 20 points in any game this year till week 10. That’s impressive.

All said and done, the focus lies on the week 11 SNF game against the Bengals. Sitting in the 6th position in the AFC, their qualification chance would increase to 90 if they win. Can they beat Joe Burrow’s side? Fans believe The Bolts are ready. Jim Harbaugh would be eager to write his name in the history books by being the first coach to win the Super Bowl for the franchise.
