Caitlin Clark Shares Heartfelt Moment With Lisa Bluder In Fever-Sun Game

 

Simone Biles, U.S. sprinter Gabby Thomas and even Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson were all in the building for what turned out to be a star-studded crowd for the Indiana Fever’s home game against the Connecticut Sun.

For Caitlin Clark, however, there was one spectator in attendance who stood out. This came inthe form of her former Iowa coach Lisa Bluder, who led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back NCAA Final Four appearances in Clark’s final two seasons.

 

Right before the game, Clark acknowledged Bluder’s presence by spending a moment with her former coach. Renowned sports photographer Bri Lewerke captured the endearing interaction between Clark and Bluder, which is now making its rounds on social media.

It is unclear what was said between the player and her former coach, but there’s no denying that Clark appreciates the show of support from the recently retired shot-caller.

More importantly, Clark made sure to gift her former coach with a win. The 22-year-old played a pivotal role yet again for Indiana as they defeated the Sun in a nail-biter, 84-80.

 

Clark, who in the same game broke the WNBA all-time record for the most three-pointers by a rookie, amassed 19 points, five boards, five assists, and three triples.

The Fever have now logged back-to-back wins and will have all the momentum on their side when they face off against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in a massive showdown on Friday.
