Saniyah Hall, the top-ranked player in the class of 2026 according to both On3 and ESPN, made an official visit to South Carolina on Monday, continuing her high-profile recruitment journey.
A 6-foot-2 wing with an elite all-around game, Hall hails from suburban Cleveland, Ohio, but spent last season playing at the powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida.
Her move to Montverde not only elevated her national exposure, but also paired her with future Gamecock Agot Makeer, a 2025 South Carolina signee. The duo proved formidable, helping Montverde finish as national runners-up in high school basketball last season.
Hall shined on the biggest stages, scoring 28 points in the national semifinal and 20 points in the championship game, earning a spot on the all-tournament team alongside Makeer.
Her season-long dominance led to her being named MaxPreps National Junior of the Year and a Naismith First-Team All-American. She posted outstanding averages of 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

Renowned for her offensive prowess, Hall is a three-level scorer with excellent size and a high basketball IQ. But her defensive game is also elite, often overlooked in the spotlight of her scoring.
In a glowing scouting report, ESPN described Hall as:
“A big guard with a creative handle, Hall can create off the bounce, catch and shoot the three, and glide to the rim or power finish with contact. She is savvy and gets to the free-throw line well, and even has some post-up game and an old-school fadeaway jumper.”
Before her visit to South Carolina, Hall made a May stop at North Carolina and has previously taken official visits to UCLA. She’s also spent time on campuses at USC and Ohio State. Unsurprisingly, she holds offers from nearly every top program in the country, though she has yet to narrow her list or announce any finalists.
With her recruitment heating up and major programs jockeying for position, Saniyah Hall’s next move could shake up the future of women’s college basketball.
