Caitlin Clark says that guarding A’ja Wilson is virtually impossible, and honestly, in her explanation, there wasn’t a single lie.

The Indiana Fever host the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday as both teams continue their marches toward the postseason. It should be a marquee matchup as fans watch the Rookie of the Year and MVP favorites on the court. Transparently, the Fever have yet to win a matchup against the Aces this season. So, the team has its work cut out to stop the Vegas’ primary production source on both ends of the floor — A’ja Wilson.

Wilson’s been on an inconceivable tear, and when asked about Wilson’s historic numbers this season, Caitlin Clark smiled while giving a glowing (but candid) review. Per Matthew Byrne of ClutchPoints, here’s what she shared:

“She’s pretty incredible. I mean, you watch her, and it’s just unguardable. There’s nothing anybody can do to stop it. She’s just that dominant…”

“It’s fun to watch…everybody in the league knows you can’t guard it. You basically just live with what she’s going to do to you every single night. It’s just — you contain it as best you can…”

Clark isn’t the only player who thinks Wilson is “unguardable.” Earlier this month, Diana Taurasi expressed the same sentiment to the media.
