She was selected as the No. 2 overall pick by the Los Angeles Sparks.
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has taken to social media to share a series of throwback photos capturing cherished moments from his journey with Cameron Brink. As Brink‘s god-brother, Curry delighted fans by unveiling snapshots of their shared history, spanning from Brink‘s early childhood to their most recent encounter.
From adorable baby pictures to shots of Brink honing her basketball skills as a youngster and blossoming into a standout athlete, the photos served as a touching tribute to their enduring friendship and shared passion for the game.
Curry‘s gesture came shortly after Brink‘s achievement of being selected as the No. 2 overall pick by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Brink showcased her exceptional skills on the basketball court in her final season with Stanford, where she averaged impressive statistics of 17.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game, contributing significantly to her team’s successful season with a 30-6 record.
A great relationship
In a YouTube video from 2021, Curry previously delved into the special connection he shares with Brink, revealing that her parents are his godparents.
“I’ve seen her since she was a baby and her mom and dad’s my godparents,” Curry said.
“It’s pretty awesome to having watched her grow up in the game and watch me and my brother play and seeing her just coming to her own as a talented high school prospect and now a highly-touted freshman at Stanford.
“I just love watching her play [and] love everything about her. She’s been playing basketball for a very long time.”
